I didn’t want to believe it for years either… I though if I worked as a doula and studied Midwifery I could prevent other people from birthing like I did… Boy was I wrong.

For the past 25 years I have been gestating, birthing, & raising five boys. I have sat with hundreds of families in all setting in various roles. I have watch magic unfold, and seen things, I will never unsee….

So What do I know now?

25 years and hundreds of births later…. No one is safe from morbidity or mortality.

It is happening in every location.

1/6 people walks away from the process traumatized.
80% of all maternal morbidity and mortality are preventable.

Research shows that Free Standing Birth Centers, Midwifery lead care, with additional support and education through the process prevents poor outcomes.

You Do what…? What does an Inspired Birth Doula do?

We answer questions and direct people to where they can find more information.
Doulas offer educational, emotional, physical and spiritual support to families along the perinatal journey.
We provide education to people from a trauma informed and global evidence based safe space.
We meet people where they are at, holding space prenatally, sharing information on the process and working out blocks or fears surrounding the birth process.
We offer hands on support and education through the labor and birth process.
We continue that support postpartum. Helping you process the experience, supporting with newborn care and breastfeeding. We also continue to make sure you are tapped into local community resources through the postpartum journey.
